- Stroll the galleries until 9pm the 1st Friday of every month - there are 16 galleries all within walking distance. Meet artists and craftsmen, find unique one-of-a kind pieces created locally by hand in clay, metal, glass, wood, fiber, coloredpencil, oils and watercolor. Music and receptions. Free event. 6-9pm.

- Santa and Christmas music entertain while lighting the town tree. Free event. 6pm.

- Festvial of Lights
- The Town of Canton lights up for everyone to enjoy. This month-long celebration kicks off with the lighting of the town tree on Dec. 1 at the Canton Area Historical Museum. Free event.

- Sounds of Christmas will fill the air at our nighttime, lighted Christmas parade. Free event. 6pm.

- Children's Shopping Spree at Santa's Store
- A store just for kids to shop in for their parents, grandparents, siblings and friends. Free gift wrapping and tags and Santa too! Free event. Free parking. Handicapped accessible. 1-3pm. If calling, office is only open Monday and Friday 10am-noon.

- A Night Before Christmas
- Share a holiday tradition with caroling, musicians, pictures with Santa, wagon rides, live nativity, storytelling, poetry and thousands of luminaries along Main Street. Free event. Shops and restaurants open til 10pm.
