- Stroll the galleries until 9pm the 1st Friday of every month - there are 16 galleries all within walking distance. Meet artists and craftsmen, find unique one-of-a kind pieces created locally by hand in clay, metal, glass, wood, fiber, coloredpencil, oils and watercolor. Music and receptions. Free event. 6-9pm.

- SPOTLIGHTS Youth Theatre presents "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." Show starts at 7pm on Friday and Saturday and at 3pm on Sunday. $3.50 for adults and $2.00 for students.

- For thirteen years, a variety of shops open their doors for everyone to enjoy the sights, scents and sounds as the holiday season begins in our festively decorated shops. Free event. 12-5pm.

- Maggie Valley hosts this fun-filled event featuring wreaths, swags, table centerpieces and other unique handmade items, many with a Christmas theme. Free event. 9am-4pm. If calling, office is only open Monday and Friday 10am-noon.
